Cleanup drives

Problem : Since the Mille Îles River is located in a highly urban area, it accumulates a lot of trash. This pollution detracts from the beauty of the landscape, and affects the quality of the water and habitats.
Cleanup drives. The park organizes and co-ordinates several annual cleanup drives, mainly in the spring and fall. Volunteers help to pick up the trash that accumulates on the river’s islands and shorelines. © Elodie Hamel
Always put your waste where it belongs (garbage cans, recycling bins, containers, etc.). Organize local cleanup drives. And whenever you see trash lying around, pick it up!
